Privacy
vCompanion has no app backend or third-party usage analytics. Your Vercel access token stays in the device's secure storage (iOS and macOS Keychain, Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage, Windows Credential Locker or a Linux keyring). Authenticated requests go directly to https://api.vercel.com, not through a server operated by vCompanion. Project icons and favicons may be requested separately without your token.
Sentry is used for anonymised crash reporting. Reports contain technical diagnostics such as the error, stack trace, app version and platform. They do not include your Vercel token, account identity, request or response contents, screenshots or session recordings.
Your token
Sign-in requires a Vercel Full Account token to verify your account. That token can have broader powers than this app uses. Create a dedicated token with an expiry date, and revoke it at any time in your Vercel account. Logging out removes the stored token and clears app caches.
What the app does
The app reads projects, deployments, analytics, live logs, metrics and feature flags. Its only write action is changing a feature flag environment after you confirm it. Optional device authentication can lock the app screen.
The Vercel API processes the account data you request under Vercel's own policies. This page describes vCompanion itself; it does not replace Vercel's privacy information.

Can I use a read-only token?
Vercel tokens cannot be made read-only. The app needs Full Account scope for sign-in, but it does not use that access to change projects or deployments. Use a dedicated token and set an expiry date.
Why can't I see older logs or metrics?
The public API exposes a live log stream, not historical request logs. Metrics require Vercel's Observability Plus add-on and access to the relevant team.
